Ephedrine




Ephedrine is found to be the active chemical ingredient present in ephedra sinica which is a Chinese herb and used for several medicinal reason. Frequently, Ephedrine is used as an appetite suppressant, decongestant, and stimulant. This component is a beta-adrenergic agonist which indicates that it will increase heart rate which makes an in general increase in heat expenditure and energy leading to the purpose of weight loss. When ephedrine is used alone that’s why it is also useful for the treatment of bronchitis and asthma. It is also useful for treating many allergic conditions, strengthening heart contractions, increasing blood pressure, also treating Depression and Narcolepsy as well as Myasthenia Gravis. This component may also be useful for many conditions also. It also acts as a vasoconstrictor as it works in a variety of body areas to create many reactions.

The alkaloid, Ephedrine is the herbal compound present in the Ephedra. Ephedrine also interrelates with the cells of muscle, improving expenditure of heat in them and in the fat cells too. This herb will also stop the muscle tissue breakdown to smaller extent.

As a weight loss product, Ephedrine has been using for many years as well as it can also result in increase in the body metabolism. However, it has many side effects due to which its use is contraindicated. 
It is important to use this drug under the administration of a qualified medical professional or any family doctor. The main cause for this is that it is not recognized as a diet supplement and may cause death to the consumers. This can also results in shivering, jitteriness, pulse increase, arrhythmia, loss of appetite and many others. 
Contraindications and Side Effects of Ephedrine

This drug may cause serious effects and should be avoided in the women who are pregnant.
Use this drug only after the prescription of the doctor otherwise may results in hazards. Also avoid using this herb with those anti-depressants which results in high level of adrenaline.

The ephedrine side effects are harsher when this herb is also managed systemically as comparison to the topical administration.

The Side effects related to the use of ephedrine are as follow: arrhythmias, tachycardia, confusion, nausea, insomnia and restlessness. So, it is very important to understand all the pros and cons of this drug prior using it for weight loss purpose.

Ephedrine is studied very well in different research and a quite dependable composite, even though it is not effective in all situations.
